Function for reversing lamp actuation with transmission 716
Operating procedure
Basic conditions:
- The transmitter key (A8/1) in the electronic ignition switch of the electronic ignition switch control module (N73) is set to the "circuit 15R ON" position.
- The gearshift lever is set to the applied position "R" (reverse gear ON).
- The backup lamp switch (S16/2) notifies the front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) "reverse gear ON".
- The front SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/1) converts the signal and notifies the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) over the CAN interior "backup lamp ON".
- The rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) actuates the backup lamps (E3e3 and E4e4).
- For a trailer hitch the "backup lamp ON" signal is also sent over the CAN interior to the trailer recognition control module (N28/1) and voltage applied to the trailer backup lamps to the trailer hitch socket, 13-pin (X58).
