Testing Procedure
- Voltage -
Connect DVOM between right cylinder bank ME-SFI control module (N3/12) connector 2 terminals No. 87 and 81 (socket box terminals No. 87 and 81). Turn ignition on. Voltage should correspond with temperature. See OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR VOLTAGE
table. If voltage is okay, test is complete. If voltage is not okay, possible causes are oil temperature sensor (B1) failure or defective right cylinder bank ME-SFI control module (N3/12). To check oil temperature sensor resistance, go to next step.OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR VOLTAGE

Turn ignition off. Disconnect right cylinder bank ME-SFI control module connector 2. Connect DVOM between right cylinder bank ME-SFI control module connector 2 terminals No. 87 and 81 (socket box terminals No. 87 and 81). Resistance should correspond with temperature. See OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE
table. If resistance is okay, test is complete. If resistance is not okay, possible causes are wiring harness failure or defective oil temperature sensor (B1). Repair as necessary.OIL TEMPERATURE SENSOR RESISTANCE
