Delivery Rate

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2002 Mercedes-Benz SL600, 2001 Mercedes-Benz SL600, 2000 Mercedes-Benz SL600, 1999 Mercedes-Benz SL600, and 1998 Mercedes-Benz SL600. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.
NOTE: When checking fuel delivery, use an approved container larger than 1.1 qt (1L).

Disconnect fuel return line at fuel rail. Place end of fuel supply line into an approved container. Connect jumper wire between right cylinder bank ME-SFI control module connector 1 terminals No. 26 and 24. Turn ignition on for a maximum of 35 seconds. Fuel pump volume should be 1.1 qt (1L) over 35 seconds. If fuel pump volume is okay, test is complete. If fuel pump volume is not okay, possible causes are fuel line restriction or faulty fuel filter. Repair as necessary.
