DTC Description
- Fault Memory & Actuation Of MIL - After 2 consecutive driving cycles with fault.
- Frequency Of Testing - Once per driving cycle.
- Checked Signal Or Status - Oxygen sensor signals before TWC.
- Limit Value - Lambda control factor approximately plus 25 percent (rich stop).
- Duration Of Test - Approximately 10 seconds.
- Test Conditions - Engine idling, vehicle stationary, air pump actuated at least once after engine has started, no faults with voltage supply to purge control valve, air pump switchover valve and electric air pump, no purge control fault, no throttle valve actuator fault. No combustion misfires, no fault in oxygen sensor before TWC (aging), no Controller Area Network (CAN) data bus fault, self-adaptation of mixture formation not at limit value, test carried out at an altitude of more than 8203 feet (2500 meters), engine coolant temperature less than 194°F (90°C) and lambda control enabled.
NOTE:
When function chain starts, all functions for automatic mixture adaptation are disabled, purge control valves are closed and current lambda control factor is recorded. This is followed by secondary air injection. The mixture must weaken. The lambda control factor responds appropriately with an increase of approximately plus 25 percent. If a condition changes while testing, the test is terminated and started again later.
