Acceleration jerks are prevented by means of acceleration enrichment.
If the throttle valve is opened rapidly during acceleration, a leaner mixture is produced for a short time. An additional quantity of fuel is supplied to the engine in line with the control map. The injectors are actuated by means of additional pulses for this purpose.
Acceleration enrichment is dependent on:
- Coolant temperature
- Load change rate (accelerator sensor rate)
- Engine speed
- Engine load
- Correction programming with STAR DIAGNOSIS
