The current fuel consumption is sent to the trip computer in the instrument cluster via the CAN data bus from the ME control unit in the form of square-wave pulse packages.

The fuel consumption signal is calculated from the instrument cluster (e.g. 8 l/hour).

IMPORTANT One square-wave pulse means 0.2 l/hour.
