Task 

The electronic selector lever module control module (N15/5) receives digital and analog input signals, converts these signals and controls various components or transfers information to various control modules via CAN.

The selector lever positions and touch shifts performed are recognized without contact using the opto-electronic switches. A photoelectric barrier is closed or interrupted each time the position of the selector lever is changed.

Input signals: 

• Selector lever position
• Transmission mode switch (S16/5)
• Touch button +/-
• Voltage supply (terminal 87)
• Kick-down switch (S16/6) (up to 31.05.02)

Output signals: 

• R/P locking solenoid
• Shift gate illumination (terminal 58d)

Instrument cluster (A1) 

• Terminal 58 dimmed

Traction system control module (N47) 

• Rear right wheel speed
• Rear left wheel speed

for EIS control module (N73) 

• Stop light switch (S9/1)
