Recirculating air pushbutton, function - GF83.40-P-2102-01N
Function
Pressing (t<1.5 sec.) the recirculating air pushbutton (
) actuates the fresh air/recirculation door actuator motor, which closes the fresh air flap and opens the recirculation door in order to prevent air from entering from the outside. The LED function illuminates while the recirculating air system operates.
Convenience recirculated air function as of 01.06.01
If the recirculating air pushbutton (
) is held down, in addition to activating the recirculating air function all open windows and the sliding/tilting roof are closed (windows and sliding/tilting roof must be normalized). The LED function illuminates while recirculating air system operates. In order to avoid current spikes the sliding/tilting roof and the power windows are actuated in sequence.
If the button is held down again, the windows and the sliding/tilting roof move back to their previously stored positions and the fresh air/ recirculation door returns to the fresh air position (LED off). The convenience function can only be operated if the recirculated air LED if off.
Any window that was manually opened during this recirculating air phase remains in this position when the recirculating air function is disabled, and all others move to their stored positions. The positions of the sliding/tilting window and the side windows prior to the closing procedure are stored by the overhead control panel control module or the relevant door control module. The windows and the sliding/tilting roof that were closed by the convenience function remain closed if the recirculating air pushbutton is operated, even briefly (t<1.5 sec.). Only the fresh air/recirculation door is moved to the fresh air position in this case. The saved positions are erased if the ignition is switched off.
