Function 

The display serves primarily for indicating to the driver the ventilation and air conditioning settings. This information is provided in the form of words, symbols and numbers.

The temperature is displayed either in °C or in °F depending on the setting on the multifunction steering wheel. Otherwise messages are indicated with corresponding symbols.

The display is operated as a positive or negative display depending on the ambient brightness. All displays in the vehicle are switched over simultaneously for this purpose by a central light junction point in the overhead control panel control module.

• Positive display (bright surrounding): black numbers on light background
• Negative display (dark surrounding): light numbers on dark background
