The upper control panel control module (N72/1) is connected to the CAN (interior compartment) and has the following tasks:

Reading in the switches: 

• ESP OFFswitch (N72/1s1)
• Level control switch (N72/1s3)
• Comfort and sport switch (N72/1s3)
• Hazard warning system switch (N72/1s5)
• Interior central locking switch (N72/1s6),
• TS/IMS switch (N72/1s7) and ATA function display (interior motion sensor with code 882 only) and depending on the equipment variant:
• PTS OFF switch (N72/1s8)
• Rear head restraints switch (N72/1s4)
• Rear blind switch (N72/1s9)

Actuation of the indicator lamps of various switches. 

Reading in components of the lower control panel: 

• DTR switch block (S46/8)

  .All the switches are equipped with search illumination.
