Relocking, function - GF80.20-P-4012GH

The relocking function prevents the vehicle remaining unlocked if the remote control key  has been operated unintentionally.

Function requirements 

• The vehicle was fully locked when unlocked with the remote control key and all the doors were closed.

  Function 

  After the vehicle has been unlocked with the remote control key, the all-activity module (AAM) (N10)  starts a waiting time of 60 seconds (as of 12.99: 40 seconds). After this waiting time has elapsed, the vehicle is relocked electrically by the AAM unless previously

• a door was opened or
• the remote control key was inserted into the ignition lock.

  If the "unlock vehicle" button at the remote control key is pressed once again before the waiting time has elapsed, the waiting time is then reset and restarted.

  

• The anti-theft alarm (ATA)  is also activated by the relocking function.
• The relocking  function can be deactivated with the HHT (as of 12.99 with STAR diagnosis tool).
