The locator lighting function is used to make it easier to locate the vehicle in a poorly lit environment.
The vehicle unlocked by the radio remote control switches on the vehicle lighting (park lamps, taillamps, license plate lamps and fog lamps) for 40 sec.
Function prerequisites
- Completely locked vehicle
- Exterior lamp switch in "AUTO" position
Operational sequence:
When opening the vehicle using the transmitter key (selectively or globally), the vehicle lighting (park lamps, tail lamps, license plate lamps and fog lamps) is switched on for a maximum of 40 sec.
The locator lighting is also active in daylight.
Function interruption:
The locator lighting function is interrupted, if:
- the driver's door is opened,
- the vehicle is locked again with the transmitter key,
- circuit 15 is "ON",
- the vehicle is automatically locked again.
If the exterior lamp switch is not set to "AUTO", then the locator lighting function is not active.
