Electrically locking/unlocking central locking, function - GF80.20-P-4017GH

Switch description: 

All motors are connected with one connector to an unlocking relay and with another connector to a locking relay. The relays are changeover switches.

In the non-actuated state, both relays switch both motors connections to ground. The motors are also short-circuited when idling

Unlocking: 

The doors are unlocked in groups The central locking motors are connected to the relay in groups

• To central locking relay, unlock left door and fuel filler flap (F1k24).

  Left front door CL motor (M14/6) and fuel filler flap CL motor (M14/10).

• Central locking relay, unlock right door and rear doors (F1k23). Right front door CL motor (M14/5), left rear door CL motor (M14/8) and right rear door CL motor (M14/9).
• Central locking relay, unlock rear door (F1k15) rear door CL motor (M14/7).

The all activity module (AAM) (N10) actuates the corresponding unlocking relay, for approx. one second, to electrically unlock a group. This connects the connected motors to circuit 30. The other connection remains connected to ground over the locking relay

Lock: 

The all activity module (AAM) (N10) actuates the central locking relay, all doors locked (F1k20) for approx. 1 second. This connects the connected motors correspondingly to circuit 30. The other connection remains connected to ground over the locking relay.

All doors, rear door and fuel filler flap are locked simultaneously

Open doors can not be locked due the mechanical coupling of rotary tumbler and lock

up to 31.08.2002: 

The AAM recognizes whether the doors or the rear door are locked and unlocked properly by the right front door CL microswitch (M14/5s1), left front door CL microswitch (M14/6s1), rear door CL microswitch (M14/7s1), left rear door CL microswitch (M14/8s1) and right rear door CL microswitch (M14/9s1). If this was not the case, the procedure is repeated

As of 01.09.2002 

The AAM then only recognizes the position of the door locks by the left rear rotary tumbler microswitch (S87/2), right rear rotary tumbler microswitch (S87/3), right front door rotary tumbler microswitch (S87/6), left front door rotary tumbler microswitch (S87/7) and rear door rotary tumbler microswitch (S88/1) and actuates them within a fixed time limit. As the position of the lock button is not known, a lock/unlock cycle cannot be interrupted nor repeated. The AAM stores the position of the door locks in the internal memory.
