Rear Side Glass

NOTE: DO NOT perform adjustment steps out of order.
  1. Open retractable roof. Disconnect window motor electrical connector. Connect 12 volts to window motor and raise window to full up position. Raise door window to full up position. Adjust rear side glass up stop so top of rear side glass protrudes .196" (5 mm) above door glass. Adjust gap between rear side glass and door glass to obtain a .196" (5 mm) parallel gap.
  2. Using a 12 volt power source, lower rear side glass. Reconnect window motor electrical connector. Install inner shaft seal on "B" pillar. Inner shaft seal is mounted with one screw. Close retractable roof. Screw in adjustment screw located at top of window lift mechanism until it makes contact with top stop. Inspect inclination of rear side glass in relation to sealing frame of retractable roof.
  3. If rear side glass contact is not satisfactory, loosen counter nut and adjust screw until rear side glass makes contact with sealing frame of retractable roof with a slight pretension. If rear side glass contact is still not satisfactory, loosen 2 bolts on bottom of retaining bracket and adjust window lift mechanism as necessary.
  4. Retractable roof should still be in closed position. Check rear side glass gap in relation to door glass and adjust rear side glass or door glass as necessary to maintain a .236-.314" (6-8 mm) parallel gap. If necessary to adjust door glass, make adjustment at rear guide rail for door glass. Parallel gap between door glass and rear side glass is different with retractable roof closed. Allowable gap changes from .196" (5 mm) to .236-.314" (6-8 mm).
