Stoplight Switch (S9/1)

- Connect DVOM between right cylinder bank ME-SFI control module connector 1 terminals No. 1 and 26 (socket box terminals No. 14 and 26). Turn ignition on. With brake pedal not operated, voltage should be less than one volt. With brake pedal operated, voltage should be 11-14 volts. If voltage is as specified, test is complete. If voltage is not as specified, go to next step.
- Connect DVOM between right cylinder bank ME-SFI control module connector 1 terminals No. 26 and 3 (socket box terminals No. 26 and 3). Turn ignition on. With brake pedal not operated, voltage should be 11-14 volts. With brake pedal operated, voltage should less than one volt. If voltage is as specified, test is complete. If voltage is not as specified, possible causes are wiring harness failure or brake light switch (S9/1) failure. Repair as necessary.
