43/99-2 GROUP 82 - ALL VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH TELE AID:
***** CAUTION ***** CAUTION ***** CAUTION ***** CAUTION ***** Once Tele Aid control units (both ECU and TRU) have been installed in a vehicle, they contain vehicle specific data. This data is used to identify the vehicle, it's primary driver, other important vehicle characteristics and contains data for use in vehicle theft recovery.
The exchange of control units between vehicles (even of the same model) is strictly prohibited. Doing so may render the system non-functional in the event of an emergency.
