Defroster button, function - GF83.40-P-2139-02I

Function 

The defroster function is started when the defroster button (DEFROSTING ) is pressed. The temperature is set to maximum and the air flow is distributed to the defroster and side nozzles. All other flaps are closed. The blower voltage is regulated depending on the coolant temperature. The symbol "DEFROST" appears on the display in the automatic A/C pushbutton control module.

The "DEFROST" symbol also appears on the display in the rear A/C pushbutton control module, however, the heat exits only at the windshield at the front.
