Ventilation function - GF91.30-P-2005S

MODELS 215, 220 with CODE (401a) Front luxury seat, incl. heated seat and seat ventilation

MODEL 220 with CODE (402a) Seat ventilation of rear seats

Function requirements:

Ventilation mode

The ventilation mode is activated via the seat ventilation switch (N69/1s13); seat ventilation switch (N69/2s13) in the corresponding door control module or via the convenience feature (driver seat only). The seat ventilation has three ventilation stages.

Up to 31.5.01

"Stage III" of the seat ventilation is switched back automatically in regular mode after 10 min to "stage II" and after a further 10 min to "stage I".

The seat ventilation can be switched off by operating the switch (see table below) at any time. After "circuit 15R" has been switched off, the timer control is active for a further 5 min, if "circuit 15c" is switched on. If "circuit 15R" or "circuit 15" is switched on in this time, the seat ventilation is switched on again at the active ventilation stage determined by the time controller.

The seat ventilation of the driver seat is switched on via the convenience feature (convenience opening) for t = 5 min at "stage III", then it is switched off.

As of 1.6.01

The timer control for ventilation mode of the front seats and rear seats is discontinued.

The selected ventilation stage (I, II, III) of the seat ventilation remains on and is not automatically switched back.

It is possible at any time to switch off or switch the seat ventilation to another ventilation stage by operating the switch.

As of 1.9.02

The seat control module implements a timer control for the seat ventilation. After switching on "stage 3", this remains switched on for t = 10 min.

Then the system automatically switches to "stage 2", which remains switched on for t = 10 min. Then it also switches automatically to "stage 1". The parameters for the times of the 3 ventilation stages can be set via diagnosis in the seat control module.

The timer control can be switched on and off via diagnosis in the seat control module.

IMPORTANT In the vehicle as-delivered state, the timer control for the ventilation stages is switched off.

IMPORTANT Provided "circuit 15C ON", the timer control continues to run for t = 5 min, if "circuit 15R OFF" or the voltage is too low/too high.

Function via convenience feature

The convenience feature includes the functions convenience closing and convenience opening. These functions can be operated using the transmitter key or using the lock switches (only USA ONLY , JAPAN ONLY ).

The windows and sliding/pop-up roof can be opened and closed with the convenience closing function.

In addition, the seat ventilation of the driver seat (SA) is switched on in "stage 3" for t = 5 min. When closing, the seat ventilation is switched off again.

IMPORTANT The function "switching on with central opening" can be switched on and off via diagnosis in the seat control module.
