  Seat occupied recognition sensor with automatic child seat recognition, location The passenger seat occupied and child seat recognition sensor (B48) is integrated in the seat cushion of the front passenger's seat.  
  Seat occupied recognition sensor with automatic child seat recognition, task The seat occupied recognition sensor blocks deployment of the front passenger airbag, side airbag and emergency tensioning retractor when the front passenger seat is not occupied. The automatic child seat recognition blocks deployment of the front passenger airbag when a child seat is in its designated position.
