EC button, function - GF83.40-P-2103-01I

Function

When the EC button (AIR CONDITIONING OFF ) on the automatic air conditioning pushbutton control module is pressed an LED comes on, the refrigerant compressor is switched off and cooling operation is therefore switched off. The air is no longer cooled and dried. All other functions are retained.

The pollutant-controlled recirculated air function is not available in EC mode.

In order to switch the refrigerant compressor off, the automatic air conditioning sends the switch-off request and a specified value = 0 % to the left SAM via the CAN bus. At the same time, the refrigerant compressor torque is set to "0" and transferred to the engine electronics and the electronic transmission control via the electronic ignition lock control module. The left SAM sends the canceled load increase signal to the engine electronics via the electronic ignition lock control module and switches the refrigerant compressor off after a defined time delay (approx. t = 450 ms).
