| Fuel pump control unit, task | Actuate the fuel pump which is dependent on the fuel pressure sensor signal (B4/7) in such a way by means of a PWM signal. | ||
| Fuel pump control unit, design | The control unit consists of the control and power electronics housed in a metal casing, and a wiring harness which runs to the fuel pressure sensor (B4/7), to the fuel pump (M3) and to the fuel pump relay. | ||
| Fuel pump control unit, function | If the system pressure detected by the fuel pressure sensor drops below approx. 3.8 bar, the switch-on time of the PWM signal is extended. Power consumption, rpm and delivery rate of fuel pump increases. If fuel pressure sensor is not inserted the fuel pump delivers with maximum performance. |
