Floor shift, function - GF27.60-P-5100-04GH

Transmission 722.6 in model 163 without touch shift

Operation

The selector lever is guided and positioned in the shift gate. The selector lever positions "P", "R", "N" and "D" are transmitted mechanically to the transmission by means of the shift rod. In parallel, all selector lever positions are transmitted to the ETC control module (N15/3) by means of the transmission range recognition switch (S16/10) in the floor shift. If the selector lever is moved across from "D" to "4", the selector lever is isolated from the shift rod. Thus there is no longer any mechanical connection with the transmission. The selector lever positions "4", "3", "2" and "1" are then transmitted electronically to the ETC control module (N15/3) via the transmission range recognition switch (S16/10).
