Vehicle equipment coding
The coding process updates the vehicle specification stored in the control module to the actual specification. Coding of vehicle equipment takes place with the Hand-Held tester.
In the event of modifications, coding of vehicle equipment can be carried out as often as necessary.
After replacing the control module, the airbag indicator and the warning lamp (A1e15) flashes because the control module is not yet coded. During initial coding with the Hand-Held tester, the vehicle chassis number must be entered. This is then transmitted to the control module.
