SERVICE INFORMATION

In response to inquiries regarding the affects of the year 2000 (Y2K) problem on Mercedes-Benz vehicle software, please note the following facts.

The transition from 1999 to the year 2000 will not affect Mercedes-Benz vehicle software. This has been established through testing such MB electronic components as instrument clusters with flexible service system (FSS) reminders, navigation systems, etc.

The Y2K problem will not affect MB vehicle software because absolute time data that also grasps the calendar date, is not used in our electronic components.
