SERVICE INFORMATION
19M/00-2 GROUP 58 / 82 - ALL MY 00 M-CLASS MODELS, PSE FLASH CABLES AND SOFTWARE: The PSE Flash cables (MB Special Tool no. 900 589 09 82 00) are scheduled to be distributed to each retailer. They are being automatically sent to each Retail Center.
Please contact your SPOM or Technical Specialist for the operating software and instructions for Program Technical Support and Training Issues.
Please note the following:
- Vehicles with PSE Model number SYN 0234 A or SYN 0234 B can be flashed (Motorola Digital Star-Tac Phones). Vehicles with PSE Model SYN 0234 C are configured with the new software from the factory, flashing is not necessary.
- Model Year 1999 or 2000 vehicles with analog phones cannot and should not be flashed.
- Model Year 2001 vehicles (Motorola Timeport Phones) should not be flashed as this will damage the PSE and disable the D2B ring. Please note a software safeguard to prevent flashing a Timeport PSE does not exist.
