Activated charcoal canister shutoff valve task	Close the ventilation of the activated charcoal canister for a leakage test of the fuel system.

	Activated charcoal canister shutoff valve design	Solenoid which closes the valve when energizing. Additionally a mechanical safety valve is installed.
	Activated charcoal canister shutoff valve function	The activated charcoal canister shutoff valve (Y58/4) is actuated at the ground end by the ME control unit to conduct the leak test of the fuel system. In case of errors in the shutoff valve (valve does not open) a mechanical safety valve (as of approx. 25 mbar) takes over the aeration of the activated charcoal canister (77).
