Interior protection system, function - GF80.50-P-2006GH

MODEL 163

with CODE (551a) Anti-theft alarm (ATA)

with CODE (882b) Interior protection system (only with ATA)

The interior protection system monitors the passenger compartment with the aid of an acoustic glass breakage sensor integrated into the ATA module of the trip computer control module (N41)  . If the sensor picks up a noise from the microphone (1), with a tone pattern corresponding to that of breaking glass, it triggers the alarm. The ATA module in the trip computer is connected to the all-activity module (AAM) (N10)  by a data bus. Over this bus

Arming the interior protection system

The interior protection system is armed when the ATA is activated. For this purpose the ATA module receives a signal from the AAM. The ATA module checks whether the interior protection system is functioning properly and then starts sending a continuous signal to the AAM.

IMPORTANT The anti-towing sensor and interior protection system are switched off together!

Switching off interior protection system

The interior protection system can only be switched off when the ATA is not activated. After switching off the ignition the word "ON" appears on the display (2) of the trip computer control module (N41)  for 5 s. During this time press the "MODE" button (3) or "RESET" button (4). The display goes to "OFF". The anti-towing sensor and interior protection system are then not armed when the ATA is activated the next time.
