Description & Operation

Anti-theft system is a contact controlled system. Using key in front door locks does not operate anti-theft system. Anti-theft system is activated and deactivated by using remote control transmitter. Anti-theft system is activated within approximately 15 seconds after locking vehicle. When anti-theft system is activated, an audio horn will sound and exterior lights will flash. Anti-theft system monitors all doors, hood and tail gate position. See Fig 1 .

Vehicle may also be equipped with anti-tow system and glass breakage sensor. This system will trigger alarm system if vehicle is towed or raised in a manner that simulates a towing attempt or if a window is broken. Anti-tow system and glass breakage sensor can be disabled by turning ignition on and depressing anti-theft system switch in overhead console. On vehicles equipped with trip computer, press RESET or MODE button, display will indicate OFF. Anti-tow system and glass breakage sensor will remain off until vehicles ignition switch is cycled on and off.

When anti-theft system is triggered, an audio horn will sound intermittently for approximately 30 seconds and exterior lights will flash for approximately 3 minutes.
