Test 19: Front Dome Light Circuit (5 Minute Delay)

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1996 Mercedes-Benz E320 and 1996 Mercedes-Benz E300. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Using Harness Adapter (210 589 01 63 00), connect Breakout Box (129 589 00 21 00) to combination control module. Measure voltage between terminals No. 18 and 75 at breakout box. Open any door. Battery voltage should exist for approximately 5 minutes, then voltage should drop below one volt. If voltage is as specified, front dome light 5 minute delay is okay at this time. If voltage is not as specified, perform TEST 18 . If no problem was found during TEST 18, replace combination control module.
