REMOVINGINSTALLING Removing, installing     
DANGER Risk of explosion  from explosive gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns  from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury  from caustic burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead acid batteries. No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers. AS54.10-Z-0001-01A
1 Disconnect ground cable of battery NOTES Insulate cable lug of ground cable to provide protection from unintentional contact between disconnected ground cable and ground point W10 AR54.10-P-0003A

2 Turn steering to full left lock Engine 120  
3 Remove bottom engine compartment panel   AR61.20-P-1105AB
4 Take off shield of right pitman arm    
5 Detach stiffener strut at front right    
6.1 Unscrew bolts (8) and nut (9) and take out shield (7) Engine 119  
6.2 Remove shield at starter Engine 120  
7 Remove bracket (4) Engine 119  
8 Disconnect electric cables (1/2) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA15.30-P-1001-01A 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA15.30-P-1002-01A 
9 Unscrew screws (3) TORQUE SPECIFICATION
IMPORTANTInstallation  : Connect ground lead.		 *BA15.30-P-1003-01A 
10 Take starter (M1) down and out IMPORTANTInstallation: On engine 119, ensure splash water guard (6) is correctly positioned (arrows) and spacer(s) (5) are correctly installed in the correct quantity  .  
11 Install in the reverse order    
12 Carry out operational check    
13 Render electrical system operational IMPORTANT Perform basic programming AR00.19-P-0200A
