Esp Control Module Task

The ESP control module performs all brake control functions for ABS, ASR and ESP. In the case of ASR and ESP, data transfer with the engine and transmission control modules takes place over a CAN data line. There is influence of engine/transmission management in ESP control mode. Contains complete Brake Assist (BAS) control module function. Supplies other systems with the vehicle speed signal and the wheel speed status (direct or over CAN). Supplies the instrument cluster (A1) via CAN with the signals for the ABS indicator lamp (A1e17), ESP warning lamp (A1e41) and BAS/ESP indicator lamp (A1e47) or the multifunction display (A1p13). Supplies the instrument cluster via CAN with the signal for the brake pad wear indicator lamp (A1e6) and the parking brake indicator lamp (A1e7).
