Test 13: Right Front Axle VSS Sensor Internal/Insulation Resistance

  1. Using Adapter (202 589 03 63 00), connect Breakout Box (129 589 00 21 00) to traction control module. See Figure, Figure or Figure. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Disconnect traction control module, leaving wiring harness connected to breakout box. Check resistance between terminals No. 51 and 52 at breakout box. 800-2300 ohms should exist. If resistance is as specified, go to next step. If resistance is not as specified, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wiring is okay, replace right front axle VSS sensor.
  2. Turn ignition switch to OFF position. Check resistance between terminals No. 52 and 57 at breakout box. Greater than 20 k/ohms should exist. If resistance is not as specified, check wiring. See WIRING DIAGRAMS . If wiring is okay, replace right front axle VSS sensor.
