SERVICE INFORMATION

Should a vehicle within the below chassis end number range require slightly more effort to depress the upper end of brake pedal travel than the rest of the braking motion, install new version transmission and ignition shift lock cables. Part numbers for the cables have not changed. Old and new version cables can be differentiated by the manufacture date (week/year) appearing after the part number on the cable. New version cables have a "98" manufacture year date. If you have any old version cables in inventory, (97 manufacture year date), please remove them from stock and return them to your PDC for credit within four weeks of receiving this bulletin.
