Version Coding

Version coding allows different settings to be programmed within A/C push-button control unit. Engine version is automatically transferred from the instrument cluster to the A/C push-button control unit by the serial interface (K1). All other version coding is done using Hand-Held Tester (HHT). When performing version coding follow HHT screen prompts and select desired settings. See A/C PUSH-BUTTON CONTROL UNIT VERSION CODING  table. To view and set version codes with A/C push-button control unit, perform the following procedures:

  1. Turn ignition on.
  2. Set display to read right-side "HI", left-side "LO".
  3. Turn ignition off.
  4. To access value No. 1, depress REST button and hold while turning ignition on. "P1" will flash on left-side of display. Right-side will display a numeric value (i.e. "128").
  5. Press the right temperature selector up or down to select proper version code.
  6. To enter code, press and hold EC button for longer than one second.
  7. To access value No. 2 press the EC button again but DO NOT hold down.
  8. "P2" will flash on left-side of display. Right-side will display a numeric value (i.e. "136").
