Central Locking

Central locking system is a pneumatically controlled system. All doors and trunk lid can be locked and unlocked using remote transmitter, interior central locking switch or by key in either front door or trunk lid.

On SLK230, central locking signal is received by Pneumatic System Equipment (PSE) control module from combination control module through Controller Area Network (CAN) data lines.

On CL500, S320, S420, S500 and SL500, central locking signal is received by Pneumatic System Equipment (PSE) control module from Drive Authorization System (DAS) control module using conventional wiring.
