Model 210 with code 290 or 293

Model 210 USA ONLY , JAPAN ONLYas of 6/98

Triggering logic procedure

The triggering strategy of the SRS system with the airbag control module (N2/7)  in the event of a crash is determined by the following input parameters:

IMPORTANT If the buckle query has been programmed (only USA ONLY version) the driver/passenger airbag is activated when the 1st triggering threshold is exceeded in case of a head-on collision if the relevant latch is not inserted into the buckle. In addition, there are different deployment conditions for the driver and passenger sides of the vehicle. If the buckle query has not  been programmed, the driver/passenger airbag is not activated until the 2nd triggering threshold has been exceeded.

IMPORTANT In the event of a side-impact collision the front side airbag, the rear side airbag (SA) and the window airbag (SA) on the affected side are activated (exception: If the passenger seat is not  occupied, the side airbag on the passenger side does not  deploy).
