Heated seats (HS), function - GF91.30-P-0003B
MODEL 210 as of 1.7.99 with CODE (401a) Front seat ventilation
Function
The heated seats have two stages:
- Heating stage 1 a Normal heating mode
- Heating stage 2 a Quick heat up
The front HS and seat ventilation control module (N25/7) monitors and controls the differing electrical power consumption of the heated seats and the heating time. The heated seats are switched over from heating stage 1 to heating stage 2 automatically after approx. 5 min and switched off completely after approx. 30 min. When the voltage is too low, the heated seats are switched off automatically and prevented from being switched back on. The LEDs on the switch indicate this malfunction switch-off by flashing.
The control module also monitors and controls operation of the seat ventilation.
The switches and the front HS and seat ventilation control module (N25/7) are consolidated into one block.
The front left HS and seat ventilation switch (N25/7s1)/ front right HS and seat ventilation switch (N25/7s2) are designed as rocker type switches and return automatically to the initial position after actuation. To switch the heated seats on, off or over, it is necessary to press the upper half of the switch. Two red LEDs next to the switch indicate the momentary operating status of the heated seats.
The heating elements are inserted loose into the seat covers or sawn in and connected to the control module by a lead.
