Transmission Range Signal

The transmission range signal is transmitted from electronic accelerator control module (with ASR) or cruise control/idle speed control module (without ASR). Transmission range signal is transmitted from respective module through Controller Area Network (CAN) to engine control module. The engine control module uses transmission range signal to control fuel injection after-start enrichment, catalyst warm-up, 2-3 upshift delay, camshaft adjustment, and engine RPM limitation.
