Mixture Control Assembly R & I

NOTE: Mixture control assembly consists of fuel distributor, airflow sensor, air guide housing & airflow sensor potentiometer.
  1. Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE. Disconnect negative battery cable. Remove air filter assembly. Disconnect and remove fuel injection lines from fuel distributor and injectors. See Figure or Figure . Remove wiring harness connectors as necessary.
  2. Disconnect fuel inlet and return lines from fuel distributor. Loosen air guide housing hose clamp. Lift and remove airflow sensor and air guide housing as an assembly, while removing idle speed air hose. To install, reverse removal procedure.
