Ignition Timing

IGNITION TIMING - 2.3L

Application Degrees BTDC @ Idle Degrees BTDC @ 3200 RPM
With Vacuum 8-12 (1) 39-43
Without Vacuum 8-12 (1) 22-26
(1) To obtain high RPM specification, disconnect air intake temperature sensor and coolant temperature sensor connectors. Connect a 320-ohm resistor between coolant temperature sensor connector terminal No. 1 and ground.
IGNITION TIMING - 2.6L

Application Degrees BTDC @ Idle Degrees BTDC @ 3200 RPM
With Vacuum 7-11 40-44
Without Vacuum 7-11 25-29
