Ignition Timing Control

ECU provides information for timing control of EZL electronic ignition system. Information is based on signals from crankshaft position indicator, which is an A/C generating sensor mounted on the bellhousing.

A/C generating sensor detects movement of 3 notches (4 on V8 engines) on flexplate or flywheel. Sensor supplies EZL module with information to determine piston position. Distributor is fully electronic.
