Trunk Switch Circuit Check

  1. Ensure doors are closed. Disconnect anti-theft control module 14-pin wiring harness connector. Anti-theft control module is located in right footwell below foot support. See Figure Ensure that wiring harness connector terminals are clean and tight.
  2. Connect voltmeter negative lead to terminal No. 10 (Brown/Yellow wire). Connect positive lead to connector terminal No. "3" (Red wire). If 11 volts or more are present, circuit is okay and testing is complete.
  3. If less than 11 volts are present, check for continuity in Brown/Yellow wire between control module connector and trunk light switch. Check for continuity in Brown wire between trunk light switch and ground. Repair circuit as necessary.
