Injection Pump: Removal
- Remove radiator shell, fan and air cleaner. Rotate crankshaft in normal direction of rotation to 15 degrees after TDC of No. 1 cylinder.
- Disengage belt tensioner. Remove chain tensioner. Disconnect injection and fuel lines to injection pump. Pull vacuum lines from vacuum control unit for idle speed increase. Remove stop unit and vacuum control valve, if necessary.
- Disengage regulating linkage on adjusting lever and remove vacuum pump. Hold crankshaft in position and loosen left-hand thread central fastening screw. Unscrew fastening screws and mount supporting holder. Pull out injection pump toward rear.
