Fuel Injection Pump Governor

The injection pump governor is an idle and maximum speed governor. In partial and full load range, injection pump control rod is operated by accelerator pedal only. The vacuum control unit preloads the idle speed spring and adjusts idle speed.

The vacuum control unit attached to governor housing is activated by thermo-valves and a switch-over valve. The idle speed spring is controlled by a plunger, which is part of vacuum control unit. See Fig 1 .
