Injection Pump: Installation
- To install, reverse removal procedures. Make sure engine is at -15° after TDC of No. 1 cylinder. See Figure .
- Rotate injection pump with Serration Wrench (601 589 00 08 00) on injection pump camshaft until lug of regulator shows up on bore. Slip in locking gauge when in this position until gauge starts to engage. See Fig 1 .
NOTE:
As soon as the injection pump is installed and tightened, remove locking gauge. If this isn't done there's a risk of damaging the injection pump.
