Airflow Sensor Potentiometer
Remove diaphragm pressure regulator. Remove insulating compound to uncover screws holding potentiometer to housing. Remove potentiometer. Do not touch or damage slide contact and conductor. To install, reverse removal procedure. Adjust potentiometer properly. See ADJUSTMENTS.
- Connect multimeter between terminals 14 and 18 of potentiometer. Reading should be 3200-4800 ohms with sensor plate in rest position. Connect multimeter between terminals 17 and 14. Reading should be 560-1060 ohms with sensor plate in rest position. Reading should be 3760-5640 ohms with sensor plate deflected.
- To adjust, loosen screws holding potentiometer to housing. Move sensor plate so upper edge of plate is even with lower edge of cylindrical portion of housing. Hold on to potentiometer and move sensor plate back to rest position. Reading should drop by 100-350 ohms. If not, repeat until correct. If correct, tighten fastening screws and secure them with Loctite on heads.
