Auxiliary Air Regulator
During cold engine start, the auxiliary air regulator opens to allow additional air into inlet duct. As engine heats up, the regulator element expands and presses back regulator. At about 140°F (60°C), the auxiliary air pipe is completely closed by the regulator. See Fig 1.
