| Description |
- Check engine light illuminates incorrectly.
NOTE:
- If there is a malfunction in the engine system, the PCM stores a DTC and illuminates the check engine light.

| Possible cause |
- Emission system malfunction (DTC is stored in PCM)
- Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between instrument cluster and climate control unit
- Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between climate control unit and body control module (BCM)
- Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between body control module (BCM) and PCM
- Instrument cluster malfunction
