With Emergency Call System: Notes
- Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION .)
- Remove the following parts:
- Scuff plate (passenger's side) (See SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Front side trim (passenger's side) (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- A-pillar trim (passenger's side) (See A-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Passenger-side lower panel (See PASSENGER-SIDE LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Center panel No. 2 (See CENTER PANEL No. 2 REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Meter hood (See METER HOOD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Center display (See CENTER DISPLAY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Telematics communication unit (See TELEMATICS COMMUNICATION UNIT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION .)
- Press the cover tab in the direction of arrow (1) shown in the figure and pull it in the direction of arrow (2) to remove it from the telematics communication unit.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Move the telematics communication unit battery in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and remove it.
- Install in the reverse order of removal. (See COVER INSTALLATION NOTE .)
- If the telematics communication unit battery is replaced, perform the following procedure.
- Perform the telematics communication unit battery reset procedure. (Refer to TELEMATICS COMMUNICATION UNIT BATTERY RESET PROCEDURE .)
- Clear the DTC. (Refer to [CLEARING DTC ] .)
