DTC P18A2-00: Coupling Component Temperature Sensor System: Low Input

P18A2: 00 (PCM (PYUL)) DETECTION CONDITION AND POSSIBLE CAUSE

System malfunction location Coupling component temperature sensor system: Low input
Detection condition
  • The PCM detects a short to ground in the coupling component temperature sensor circuit.
Fail-safe
  • Inhibits the i-ACTIV AWD system control.
Possible cause
  1. Coupling temperature sensor malfunction (Refer to [MAGNETIC CLUTCH INSPECTION ] in service information).
  2. Malfunction in wiring harness (including connector/terminal) between coupling component temperature sensor and electrical supply unit (ESU) (See CIRCUIT INSPECTION .) (See CONNECTOR INSPECTION .)
  3. Electrical supply unit (ESU) malfunction (Refer to [ELECTRICAL SUPPLY UNIT (ESU) REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] in service information).
  4. PCM malfunction (Refer to [PCM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION ] in service information).
Repeatability verification procedure
  1. Clear the DTC recorded in the memory. (See CLEARING DTC .)
  2. Switch the ignition ON (engine off).
